Welcome to our new blog in which we aim to share a few of our favourite places, tips and recommendations with you. We hope you’ll be as inspired by the places, exhibitions, sights, tastes and sounds as we are.
We’ll be updating it monthly, please stay tuned for more uplifting news.

Whilst at Kew the latest exhibition at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery by the fabulous Singh Twins is a must see. 💥 THE SINGH TWINS: Botanical Tales and Seeds of Empire on till the 12th April.
Their stunning kaleidoscopic light boxes thrust ornate beauty and exquisite craftsmanship, intertwined the harsh reality of the consequences of empire, directly into visceral technicolored view of the observer.

I love this melding of forces and historical narratives that so accurately speaks of the very nature of life and humankind’s qualities and achievements, the admirable and the less so.
Running concurrently is the Flora Indica exhibition of botanical drawings, a glorious showcase of 52 rediscovered botanical illustrations by Indian artists commissioned by British botanists between 1790 and 1850.

Now, back to the blossoms, the trees, the heavenly gardens. I’m so in awe of Kew Gardens and what the teams there achieve and preserved. It’s staggering! 💛🌺
And there’s still time to catch ‘Sounds of Blossoms’ 🌸 (till 6th April) An audio experience in collaboration with the Royal College of Music, which will have you chilled out and tuned into the rhythm of Spring in no time. Lay down on the grass and enjoy the soothing ambient sounds emanating from speakers positioned between blossom trees.

‘Delight in a multi-sensory experience as you wander through the trees. Admire the delicate pastel colours of the blossoms, inhale their sweet scents in the breeze and get lost in layered soundscapes. Celebrate the arrival of spring and take a moment to reconnect with the natural world — and yourself.’ (text courtesy of Kew.org)
All exhibitions are free and included with entry ticket to the gardens.

A note from Linda Hugo, Founder and Director:
“Kew Gardens is such an inspiration to me and all who visit, reminding us that nature is a force that sustains and centres us, guiding us towards what which is real, meaningful, simple and perfect.
Thank you Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and thank you to everyone who respects, loves, preserves and enjoys nature. 🌳”
